A fractional CFO from CFO Foundry runs your monthly pack and the data room.
From monthly operational KPIs to sell-side reporting. One tool that turns your trial balances into financial intelligence you can actually act on.
Steering the company and preparing its sale draw on the same data. CFO Foundry delivers both.
Operational excellence means running the company on facts: knowing every month where margin, cash and capacity stand, and acting before a trend turns into a problem. CFO Foundry turns the month’s books into these KPIs, on the same definitions every month, so the leadership team decides on one set of numbers.
Preparation becomes the monthly routine, so management keeps running the company through the deal.
Every figure traces back to its account when due diligence asks.
The deal figures are worked out before the buyer does it.
Meridian is a fictional demo company. All figures are sample data.
The company’s own exports are mapped once to a standard chart, and every month one build turns them into the finance pack.
CFO Foundry reads eight kinds of export, from the trial balance to the sales pipeline, in the files your systems already produce. The columns of each are described once in the operator app.
The Operator App →The mapping wizard assigns each entity’s accounts to one standard chart, with a live balance check. Each balance sheet account also takes its treatment in a transaction: working capital, cash, debt or excluded.
The Mapping Wizard →One click builds the report of every entity and of the group. Other currencies are converted at monthly rates, and intercompany is eliminated each month.
Group Reporting →Each build writes the interactive report, the Excel workbooks, the board and M&A decks in PowerPoint and the data room checklist. Reports, workbooks and decks are filed in their data room folders, item by item.
The Data Room →Founder-led service companies, from agencies and consultancies to engineering and IT services, often with several entities or a sale on the horizon.
The founder still runs the company, or did until recently.
People and their time are the product: projects, retainers, hours.
One company or several. Groups and buy-and-build platforms are welcome.

Either a fractional CFO from CFO Foundry runs it for you, or your own team runs it under a licence.
A fractional CFO from CFO Foundry runs your monthly pack and the data room.
After an engagement, your team takes over the monthly pack under the annual licence. The set-up is already done.
An operator sets CFO Foundry up in 4 to 8 weeks; then your team runs it under the annual licence.

The reports are as good as the numbers going in. Behind them is good practice inside the company: a chart of accounts kept deliberately, bookings that make one month comparable to the next, data delivered on a fixed date. A fractional CFO from CFO Foundry puts that in place and holds it. Under a licence, an operator sets it up and your team holds it.
No. Your team delivers the agreed data each month and reads the output in a browser. With a licence, your lead accounting person takes over the intake and runs the build after the set-up.
Trial balances from any accounting system that exports them as XLSX. The full picture also draws on the receivables and payables ledgers, HR and payroll data, hours from time tracking, the sales pipeline and cost centre structures. For each source, an owner, a format and a delivery date in the month are agreed.
CFO Foundry is built for the founders and their leadership team, and for the questions a sale brings. It runs on your own machine, so no software provider sees the numbers.
